A Tropical Kauai Destination Wedding
REAL LIFE HAWAII WEDDING: KEELY + SCOTT.During a trip to see her best friend, Keely met Scott through mutual friends while visiting the Bay Area. After the introduction they spent the whole party talking and decided to share the rest of the day together. Their instant connection helped them to date long distance for the next year and half until the couple both moved to Santa Cruz. Scott popped the question on Keely's 31st birthday in Big Sur; a hike with a beautiful view that overlooked the ocean. The nuptials took place on April 14, 2016 at the Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa in Kauai. It was the perfect day for a destination wedding on the islands. The couple shared their personal vows during the ceremony and Scott prepared a song for Keely that he played guitar and sang during the reception. A beach theme; sea glass was used for each seat, notes by each guest on a scroll for the "message in a bottle" idea, and fresh fruit and flowers for each centerpiece. The couple loves to travel, they both own small businesses and they picked their wedding date based off of the love they witnessed from Scotts parents whom they now share an anniversary with.
