Bringing Back The Tradition Of The Trousseau
When Mollie Lang, founder of online lingerie and lounge wear boutique byLangley.com, was preparing to be married she realized she had little to wear on her honeymoon. It was then that Lang realized the benefit of bringing back the old-fashioned tradition of the trousseau, but in a modern way.
A trousseau is a soon-to-be or new bride’s collection of clothing items, particularly lingerie, loungewear and sleepwear, which she can wear at the start of and throughout her marriage. These gifts are given to the bride by female friends and family, and traditionally collected in a hope chest before one's marriage. It’s a collection of lovely pieces to make her feel her best, her most feminine, her most beautiful self. Check out these beautiful pieces at byLangley's Bridal Trousseau collection.
About byLangley.com byLangley.com is an online boutique dedicated to lounge, lingerie & sleepwear curated with the modern, sophisticated woman in mind. The online boutique features a mix of well-known brands such as Cosabella, Soft Joie, Eberjey and Only Hearts, and fresh new designers like La Fee Verte, Beautiful Bottoms, T LA and Monrow.
Mollie Lang, 31, the company’s founder, has created the collection to be a true reflection of her style and the place in her life that she’s in as a new mother, entrepreneur and wife. Mollie believes lingerie and loungewear can and should be worn all day and every night and not saved for special occasions. byLangley.com shows women how to mix and match pieces to create an outfit that is put together, yet comfortable, and can take you from morning to night just by layering and removing pieces as you go about your day.
In 2010, after close to a decade of working in retail marketing for companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Vivre, and American Eagle Outfitters, Mollie decided to pursue a dream of opening her own e-boutique. That fall, with a personal passion for lounge, sleep, and lingerie and strong experience in the digital world, she went on a business trip with her husband, Tom, to focus on writing her business plan. The b-plan was conceived, as was their first child! Mollie worked through her pregnancy to launch byLangley.com. Her baby girl was born and three short months later so was byLangley.com.
