Urban Romantic Wedding in Downtown Honolulu
REAL LIFE HAWAII WEDDING: MELISSA + CHAD
Melissa + Chad's love story began when they met at work in downtown Honolulu. They moved up to Oregon together and decided to tie the knot. They wanted to spend their big day with their friends and family so they flew home and got married at Cafe Julia, in downtown Honolulu a few blocks from the building they first met. Melissa wore a lovely lace gown complimented by her two bridesmaids in lavender dresses. Her cascade bouquet featured pastel roses and orchids. They really wanted photos capturing the urban vibe of downtown so before their ceremony we took time to shoot at a few different locations including a super cool staircase and a couple historic buildings nearby. The wind that day made Melissa's long veil flow beautifully in the wind. They made their way back to an elegant ceremony where they exchanged personal vows and had a sand ceremony with their parents to represent their coming together as one. After their ceremony they took more couple portraits taking advantage of their venue. Their reception by For The Good Hawaii was stunning featuring pretty flower arrangements and accents of gold. They had an engagement album with space left for their guests to sign and leave some advice. They kept it small and spent the evening spending as much personal time with each of their guests as possible before returning back to their new home of Oregon as husband and wife.
